Gerard Pique didn’t quite make it back from injury for Barcelona against Real Madrid on Saturday but certainly made his frustration felt after the full-time whistle.

The defender, who was an unused substitute, came onto the pitch and had a right pop at referee Gil Manzano.

Pique actually had to be restrained by Barça delegate Carlos Naval as he complained to Manzano for only adding on four minutes at the end of the game.

He reportedly said: “You spent three minutes fixing your tech.”

Koeman also criticized the referee after the final whistle for only adding four minutes and also for failing to award a penalty when Martin Braithwaite and Ferland Mendy tangled.

It’s a messy end to a match which saw Real Madrid take the advantage in the title race and move top, temporarily at least, with Atletico Madrid in action on Sunday against Betis.

Barca need to regroup quickly with another big fixture up next in the shape of the Copa del Rey final against Athletic on Saturday.
