Antoine Griezmann offered his thoughts on Barcelona’s clash over Villarreal on Sunday after scoring both of the visitors’ goals in the 2-1 victory.
The Catalans went behind when Samuel Chukwueze opened the scoring but hit back almost instantly with a lovely chip from Griezmann.
The Frenchman then grabbed his second after a poor backpass from Juan Foyth and spoke about his performance after the final whistle.
“We didn’t drop our heads and we worked together. Before the goal we had chances, scoring first makes it easier,” he said.
“I try to get between the centre-backs and to find space. It’s not my position but it’s an honour to be at Barcelona with these teammates and to enjoy what we’re doing with goals, assists or hard work.”
The win moves Barcelona one step closer to the league title and Griezmann is hoping his team can go on and win their last six games.
“We all want to win La Liga, but there are four teams fighting for it,” he added.
“We will try to win all our games, it’s the only way to become champions. It won’t be easy, but we have the squad to achieve it. We are behind and we have to give everything to win the league.”
