The Champions League is back! Barcelona return to European action with a home match against Greek champions Olympiacos, and this is a really big game for the Catalan giants.

Barça lead their Champions League group with 6 points from their first two matches, and a third win in three games will get them a lot closer to a place in the knockout stages of the European Cup.

This is also a special match for Barça manager Ernesto Valverde, who enjoyed a very successful time as Olympiacos coach. The Greek club absolutely loves Valverde, and there’s no doubt Valverde loves Olympiacos too. But he’s the Barça boss now, and he’ll look to beat his former club in convincing fashion.

Olympiacos are not as strong as they used to be, but they still have a few talented players and could cause Barça plenty of trouble on the counter attack. The Blaugrana will need to be at their best to get a win, and they’ll be in a strong position if they do get the victory.

This is a really important game for Barça, and it’s also another chance to watch Lionel Messi play football. You’re not going to miss it, are you?
