At least we tried.

Barcelona tried really hard, but could not break down a resilient Juventus defense and the Blaugrana have been knocked out of this season's UEFA Champions League in the quarter-final stage. The second leg saw a very good game from the Catalans, but the Juve back line did its job and kept Barça from scoring. At least we went down fighting.

FIRST HALF

The Blaugrana played much better football than they did in Turin, dominating the ball and creating multiple chances, but a combination of poor finishing, Juventus defenders blocking shots and Gianluigi Buffon being Gianluigi Buffon kept the score tied for the entirety of the half.

Juve had a few decent opportunities on the counter, but Barça keeper Ter Stegen also did his job. At halftime, no goals scored and Barça needed three, maybe four, maybe five goals in the second half to complete the comeback. Yeah, not easy.

SECOND HALF

More of the same: Barça kept putting the pressure on and shooting at goal, coming close on multiple occasions but never finding the back of the net. Juve kept looking for the counter and Juan Cuadrado was the most dangerous man for the Italians, but they didn't need to score and just ran out the clock to confirm the draw and their place on the semis.

Well done, Juve. You deserve it. Go beat Real Madrid and win this damn thing.
