Lionel Messi put on a show at Wembley Stadium as he inspired Barcelona to a 4-2 Champions League win over Tottenham.

The Barcelona captain was at his brilliant best. He had a hand in the first two goals, hit the post twice and then helped himself to a double.

The stats now show just how much he loves playing against English opposition.

The result puts Barcelona in a great position in the group after two games played. Next up they’ll have to face Inter Milan home and and away.

Messi will have to wait before he takes on English opposition again. Spurs are not due at the Camp Nou until December.
