Rafinha had a successful spell on loan at the San Siro last season, although a permanent move to Italy fell through.
Spalletti explained why the club did not sign him permanently but said he would be happy to manage the Brazilian again.
“Rafinha is one of the players that helped make playing these matches possible. There were certain deadlines and costs that meant we couldn’t complete the deal. We couldn’t sign him at that point in time,” he said.
“Rafinha is a great player and a spectacular person. I would gladly meet and coach him again. Even if he’s now a Barca player.”

Rafinha opened the scoring in the 2-0 win for Barcelona at the Camp Nou, and he’ll be hoping he keep his place in the starting XI for tomorrow’s game.
