Barcelona head to Chelsea next week for the first leg of the Champions League last 16 clash, and Eden Hazard sent a little warning to the Catalan giants on Monday night.
It’s no secret that it’s been a strange season for Chelsea. They’ve put in a pretty dismal defence of their Premier League title, Antonio Conte’s future is in doubt and in January they found themselves linked with the likes of Peter Crouch, Andy Carroll and Ashley Barnes.
Ultimately it seemed to work out as they sent Michy Batshuayi offer to Dortmund and brought in Olivier Giroud from Arsenal, but all still does not seem well at Stamford Bridge.
However, Hazard gave the Blues something to cheer about on Monday night as they beat West Bromwich Albion 3-0. Yes, it was the Premier League’s bottom side, and yes Chelsea wobbled at times, but Hazard showed Barcelona he will pose a huge threat.

Giroud wasted a brilliant chance to open the scoring after being picked out by the Belgian, before Hazard played a neat one-two with the Frenchman and then fired home to make it 1-0 after 25 minutes.
Victor Moses grabbed a second for Chelsea, and West Brom then missed a few chances, before Hazard secured the win with 20 minutes to go with a superb second goal.
Hazard now has 15 goals for the season, seven goals in 2018 and he’s in pretty clinical form in front of goal.

Hazard’s partnership with new arrival Giroud looked pretty promising and Chelsea also have Alvaro Morata back from injury which leaves them in better shape going into next week’s clash.
It was not a completely convincing display by Chelsea, but it certainly was from Hazard who will surely fancy taking on a Barcelona defence that has leaked just one goal in the Champions League so far this season.
