Has Andres Iniesta just played his last Champions League game for Barcelona?

Just where Andres Iniesta will be playing football next season remains a big question, and he admitted after Tuesday’s defeat to Roma that he might just have played his last Champions League game for Barcelona.

If he did then it’s a really sad way for such a legend to bow it. Iniesta already has four Champions League winners’ medals but was virtually anonymous against Roma.

Iniesta is understood to have a lucrative offer from China and has admitted he needs to make a decision before the end of the season.

Speaking after Tuesday’s defeat, however, he admitted he may not play in the Champions League again and said it was a tough loss to take.

“[That this was my last Champions League game] is a possibility and for that reason it hurts even more,” he said.

”It’s a very hurtful elimination because nobody expected it due to the lead we had.

”When you do things badly, make lots of mistakes and don’t adapt to the game, this is what happens.

”It’s a big disappointment because of the season we were having.”

It really is a big disappointment and it will be an even bigger disappointment if we don’t see a player of Iniesta’s quality gracing Europe’s elite competition again.
