Antoine Griezmann has been talking about his relationship with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the Barcelona attack and is confident their understanding will improve.

The France international hasn’t yet had the impact at the Camp Nou that was expected after signing from Atletico Madrid for €120 million but he says he’s still learning about his new team-mates.

“I’m really shy and I don’t feel comfortable going up and talking to people. I’m not someone who starts a conversation but Luis, Leo and I are beginning to learn about each other. We’ve already had dinner together,” he said.

”Our relationship can only improve over time. And it’s obvious that what happens on the pitch will only help us feel more comfortable amongst one another.”

Ernesto Valverde opted to start Messi, Suarez, Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele against Leganes on Saturday but after another poor performance from Barca it’s unlikely he will repeat that experiment.

Suarez and Messi look certain starters which means it will be between Dembele, against his former team, and Griezmann for the final spot in attack against the Bundesliga outfit.
