Antonio Conte has urged his Inter Milan side to “show courage and enthusiasm” if they are to beat Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Barcelona head to San Siro with qualification and top spot already assured, although Inter can also qualify with a victory or if they finish level on points with Dortmund.

Conte is expecting a tough game even though the visitors are likely to make changes and wants his team to show bravery against the Spanish champions.

“We need to show courage and enthusiasm: qualifying for the last 16 is a feat which would be prestigious for everyone. I’m sure that the whole stadium will help us by giving off positive energy.

“It’s impossible to think that Barcelona’s passing game won’t cause us any difficulties: we need to be compact, brave in closing them down and good on the ball in order to put them under pressure.”

Barcelona came from behind to beat Inter Milan 2-1 at the Camp Nou in October, but the Nerazzurri are in good form and are currently two points clear at the top of Serie A.
