Soon to be Barcelona player Frenkie de Jong spoke up about VAR after his club lost to Real Madrid midweek in the Champions League.

De Jong was frustrated about the opening goal by Nicolás Tagliafico that was overturned in favor of Real Madrid.

“We did well as a team. It’s a shame our goal was disallowed. Maybe something like that is easy to do in favour of a big club. We’ve had that as well,” he said.

”But we carried on well and we had our chances afterwards. It’s too bad it didn’t get us a better result.

Lucky for De Jong, he’ll be heading to a big club this year where he can benefit from the big club’s apparent VAR advantage.
