Jordi Alba warns Barcelona ahead of Champions League tie against Lyon

Jordi Alba has given Barcelona a warning ahead of their Champions League second leg against Lyon on Wednesday.

Ernesto Valverde’s side are big favourites to progress against the Ligue 1 side, but the full-back noted how some big teams have already made surprise exits.

“Real Madrid were everyone’s favourites but Ajax deservedly went through. Manchester United, too,” he said.

”But there are other tough rivals in the competition. We have to focus on being completely focused and being at out best. We were the favourites against Roma and we all know what happened there. We will step up.

“All three trophies are difficult to win. It’s not easy to win the treble, but the excitement is there. We hope to win everything.”

The two teams have met seven times previously with Barcelona winning four and Lyon yet to taste victory over the Catalan giants.
