Frenkie de Jong reckons Ajax should have won by a bigger scoreline after knocking out Juventus and moving into the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The Eredivisie side won 2-1 in Turin, to complete a 3-2 aggregate victory over the Italian champions, and De Jong says his team fully deserved the win.

“Apart from the first five minutes of the second half, we dominated after the break and were well worth our victory,” De Jong said.

”In fact, we probably should have won by more.”

The victory means Ajax will play English opposition in the last four. They will take on either Manchester City or Tottenham for a place in the final.

The way the draw is set up also means that’s a possibility Frenkie de Jong could also find himself playing Barcelona in the final if both team makes it all the way.
