FC Barcelona’s official twitter account has issued a response to Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp as the two sides are due to meet tomorrow in the UEFA Champions League semifinals at Camp Nou.

Klopp had previously said that Camp Nou is “just a football stadium and not some sort of temple or something.”

Without mentioning the German by name, Barça put out a tweet across its Twitter accounts in various languages, simply reading: “This is Camp Nou. Our home. Our temple. Our fortress.”

The Camp Nou has been a fortress indeed for Barça - not just this season, but in previous years. But perhaps they have yet to host an opponent as fierce as Liverpool.

On the other hand, the Reds are arguably yet to visit a ground that will be as difficult as Camp Nou.
