Ernesto Valverde’s side will be big favourites to progress, but Liverpool will be hoping home advantage can help them pull off a memorable comeback.
Here’s a look at how Barcelona might line-up at Anfield:
Barcelona will be well rested for the clash against Jurgen Klopp’s side after changing their entire backline for Saturday’s La Liga trip to Celta Vigo.
Expect Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet and Jordi Alba to come back in, with Nelson Semedo possibly getting the nod over Sergi Roberto at right-back.
The big question in midfield is whether Arturo Vidal will keep his place alongside Ivan Rakitic or Sergio Busquets.
The Chilean was immense in the first leg at the Camp Nou and only played the last 30 minutes against Celta Vigo which suggests he will start.
However, there’s a chance Arthur could come back into the team, while Ernesto Valverde could also opt to drop Sergi Roberto into midfield.
Ousmane Dembele will not feature against Liverpool after twanging his hamstring against Celta Vigo and being left out of the squad.
The French forward’s injury is a blow but means that Philippe Coutinho should start against his former team, and he may get a hostile reception from the home support.
Luis Suarez will also start against his former team, while Lionel Messi will be hoping for more goals after scoring twice against the Reds at the Camp Nou.
Possible XI: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Vidal; Messi, Suarez, Coutinho.
