Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is expecting his team to suffer in their Champions League match against Napoli but is hopeful the team can go a long way in the tournament.

The Catalan giants are in Napoli on Tuesday for the first leg of their last-16 tie, with Ter Stegen expecting a very difficult game at the Stadio San Paolo.

“We focus on the Champions League every season, we have the hopes of going a long way and achieving something that is very difficult,” he said.

”We have a difficult game, but we know we are going to give everything to get a good result and then finish the job in the Camp Nou. We are taking it step by step and that is helping us.

”We have been adapting in the past few weeks and now we have some tough games. I am sure we are going to suffer, but we want to be at our best.”

Barcelona have suffered away from home in the Champions League in recent seasons but beat Inter Milan 2-1 in December on their last visit to Italy in the group stages.
