Barcelona vs. Napoli could be played behind closed doors

A decision is set to be made about the game at Camp Nou

Barcelona’s Champions League last-16 second leg against Napoli could be played behind closed during to the coronavirus outbreak.

Gerard Figueras, the Catalan secretary for sport, told Cat Radio on Monday that’s it’s possible supporters may not be allowed in for the game at the Camp Nou.

“It’s a possibility, although there’s no decision taken yet, we have to speak about it with Barça,” he said.

A decision is set to be made later in the week for the match which is due to take place next Wednesday with the scores at 1-1 after the first leg in Italy.

The coronavirus outbreak has already seen a host of sporting events cancelled or postponed in a bid to try and prevent the spread of the disease.

Serie A fixtures are being played behind closed doors until April 3, while a number of Champions League are set to follow suit.

Valencia’s game against Atalanta will be played without supporters as will PSG’s second leg against Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona’s game may also go behind closed doors.
