Quique Setien was pretty happy with Barcelona’s win over Alaves on Sunday and said after the match that his team are now looking forward to the Champions League.
The Catalan giants cruised to victory with a win that will take a bit of pressure off Setien’s shoulders after missing out on the title.
Setien admitted afterwards that there had been plenty of discussion before the game about the team’s situation and the players are now looking to the future.
“It’s true that we performed a deep reflection of the situation. We are all excited about the Champions League,” he said.
“It’s true we spoke and it served for a lot because we’ve cleared something up.
“It’s something I’ve seen in this game and with this result, that allows us to face the future with more confidence. Today was special because the sensations were good.”
