Manchester City and Argentina striker Sergio Aguero has talked about the potential of Argentina team-mate and Barcelona star Lionel Messi joining his Manchester City side.

"The money isn't a problem here," Aguero told TyC Sport . "But I think Messi, like [Cristiano] Ronaldo, are players who are symbols of their clubs and it's difficult for them to leave.

"I would love to have Leo on my team, but that seems quite complicated."

The quotes are fascinating because it only moves forward the story of Messi’s lack of a contract renewal. It will remain a story as long as Josep Bartomeu continues to say that the contract is done, without Messi acknowledging that a contract is done.

So, let the silly Manchester City rumors continue. As long as Messi and Barcelona don’t have their contract photo with big smiles, there will be discussions and rumors of transfer possibilities and the rumors will become less silly each day that new contract isn’t complete.
