Coutinho in January & Griezmann in July

Today’s rumours start with AS who reckon that Barcelona’s ‘Plan A’ is to sign Philippe Coutinho in January and Antoine Griezmann in July.

Barca are simply refusing to give up on Coutinho and the report believes there is friction between the Brazilian and manager Jurgen Klopp, which may help out the Blaugrana.

Griezmann, meanwhile, will have a release clause of €100 million in July and Barca reckon the chance to play with Lionel Messi, Ousmane Dembele and Samuel Umtiti will be enough to tempt the Frenchman.

Umtiti set for new deal

Over at Sport, the word is that Samuel Umtiti will be offered a new deal on improved terms and with his release clause whacked up to €180 million.

There has been talk of interest in Umtiti from Premier League clubs, which has prompted Barca to respond.

However, Umtiti is quite happy at the club and has no desire to leave, so any new deal may not happen until next year.

Barca keen on Ferran Torres

Meanwhile, at Superdeporte the talk is of Barcelona eyeing up a move for Valencia’s young winger Ferran Torres.

The teenager starred at the recent Under-17 World Cup and Robert Fernandez went to see him as he returned to action for Valencia Mestalla.

Herrera not interested in Barca

Barca are also still keen on Manchester United’s Ander Herrera apparently, but the midfielder wants to stay at Old Trafford, according to ESPN.

Herrera is contracted until 2019 and the club are hopeful he may even agree a new deal, despite having his appearances limited this season after the arrival of Nemanja Matic.

Napoli to move for Denis Suarez?

And finally, over to Italy and the Corriere dello Sport (via Football Espana) claim that Napoli could be set to launch a move for Denis Suarez.

The Serie A leaders are willing to offer Denis regular football and think that may be enough to tempt him to Italy.
