Over the weekend, Mundo Deportivo reported that Barcelona have met with Antoine Griezmann’s family in an attempt to try and work through a move next summer.

That report was followed up by Barcelona’s director of institutional relations Guillermo Amor saying that it is indeed possible that the club has been in talks with the Frenchmen.

"Maybe there's been a meeting and things have advanced, although I don't know. There's a good understanding, maybe there have been talks.

"Rumours are inevitable in football. In the case of Griezmann, there are a lot of players we could be talking with, initiating some kind of relationship with if there's an opportunity.

"We're obliged to have contact with players. It's something which is done."

Griezmann has long been one of the more interesting transfer possibilities for Barcelona.

His arrival would be a big boost to the attack, but would also bring up interesting questions regarding Luis Suarez and his place in Barcelona’s future.

getting rid of him in light of a Griezmann transfer would seem ludicrous to some, him staying would bring Barcelona some interesting tactical changes.
