Barca to move for Koulibaly next summer
Today’s rumors start in Italy, where Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has been catching Barcelona’s eye, according to Il Mattino.
The Blaugrana are on the lookout for a replacement for Javier Mascherano who will leave at the end of the season and like the look of the Senegal international.
However, coach Maurizio Sarri is desperate to keep hold of Koulibaly and the club have slapped a price tag of €60 million on the 26-year-old.
Mascherano prevented from leaving in January
Over at Sport, the news is that Mascherano will not be allowed to leave in January, after Samuel Umtiti was ruled out for eight weeks.
Apparently, Mascherano had been considering a move to China this winter, as he has received a lucrative offer and fancies more playing time ahead of the World Cup.
However, with Umtiti now out until February, Mascherano will be needed in the first-team and will not be allowed to depart.
Coutinho to cost much more than €100m
The Catalan press are refusing to give up on Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona and so is Fabrizio Romano at Calciomercato who reckons the Brazilian will cost at least €100m.
Barca offered that amount last summer, but will have to offer “much more” to land Coutinho in January.
However, there is hope because although Liverpool still want to keep him, coach Jurgen Klopp may “reluctantly” allow him to leave.
Dolberg wants Barcelona move
And finally, today’s rumors end with a glance at Don Balon who reckon Barcelona want Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg to replace Luis Suarez.
The 20-year-old apparently already has offers from Real Madrid and Manchester United, but is not interested because he wants to play for Barcelona.
Dolberg is desperate to play alongside Messi and with Suarez struggling, is confident he could force his way into the team.
