The Colombian has been linked to the Blaugrana for almost an year now, and from the looks of it, he'll be here at the turn of the year!
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Yerry Mina has signed a deal, that will see him finish the current season with Palmeiras before joining the Catalans in 2018.
Talks between Barcelona and the talented defender had been ongoing forever, with no concrete decisions being taken. However, the Spanish giants seem to have tied up the talented defender this thursday, after months of deliberation in swift fashion.
The highly sought centre-back will finish out his campaign in Brazil, before signing a five-year long contract with the Catalans, in a deal expected to be worth around €9 million.
If the Colombian is half as good as he has been made out to be, then the Blaugrana have struck gold in the truest sense of the phrase. Mina has been chased around by some of the most coveted clubs in the world, and his inclination to play at the Camp Nou is only going to help the fans get accustomed to a new face in defence.
The purchase of Samuel Umtiti proves that the board knows what it's doing in defence and if their gamble pays off, this deal could be a real steal.
Here's to hoping that the Blaugrana get lucky twice.
