Barcelona’s sporting director Robert Fernandez is impressed with current Bayern Munich, and former Barcelona, midfielder Thiago Alcantara. So much so that he wants to bring him back to the Camp Nou, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The player left Barcelona four years ago after his situation was fumbled by the staff at the time. Thiago did not play 60 percent of the games that season, which activated a clause that lowered his buyout fee.
Bayern Munich pounced, and the rest is history.
Robert was at the Arsenal-Bayern game primarily to watch Hector Bellerin, but he left very impressed with Thiago as well.
Chatter on Cadena SER supported the idea that the Barcelona front office are keen on the youngster, who could be an alternative to buying Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain.
