Marco Verratti’s agent has denied speculation he has met with Barcelona officials to discuss a summer move for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder.

The midfielder was splashed all over the front page of Mundo Deportivo today with a report that Donato Di Campli had opened talks with Barca during the recent Champions League meeting between the two sides.

However, Di Campli has now claimed he only went to see the game and did not discuss a transfer.

"A meeting with Barça? No, I only went to see a Champions League match.

"In addition, I will also go to Monte Carlo to attend the match between Juventus and Monaco."

Verratti’s future has been the subject of much speculation for some time now and you can expect those rumours to intensify ahead of the transfer window reopening.

A host of top clubs have already been rumoured to be interested in his services and it is no secret Barca need to strengthen their midfield this summer.
