Barcelona to move for Bernadeschi?
Barcelona have been linked with a winger for a long time but there’s a new name to add to the list, welcome Fiorentina’s Federico Bernardeschi.
Sport claim the talented Italian could leave the Serie A side as he has not extended his current deal, which expires in 2019, and that Barca are favourites to land him in a €40m deal.
Barca give up Douglas Costa
Barcelona’s pursuit of Bernardeschi may also explain why the club have reportedly given up on landing Douglas Costa, another Sport special.
The Brazilian is expected to leave Bayern and while Barca had apparently been tempted, they have lost interest, with Costa instead expected to sign for Juventus.
Arda’s agent denies he will leave
Arda Turan has been so heavily linked with a Barcelona exit it’s almost a surprise to still find him at the club, but that is where he is going to stay, according his agent Ahmed Bulut.
"Nobody from Barça has been in touch with me to tell me that Arda is on the transfer list. And so as far as we are concerned, he will be continuing next season,” he said via AS.
Alcacer and Gomes set to stay
Paco Alcacer and Andre Gomes may have not have enjoyed the greatest of first seasons at the club but they remain very much in Ernesto Valverde’s plans.
Mundo Deportivo reports that the new coach is counting on both players and is confident he can get the best out of the pair next season.
Iniesta has February deadline
Could this be Andres Iniesta’s last season at Barcelona? It might be you know, and he reportedly has until February make his up mind, claim Marca.
The report claims that by that time the midfielder will know if he wants to continue working with Valverde, or wants to leave, or maybe it might be simply to hang up his boots.
Manchester City sign Barca prospect Eric Garcia
Barcelona could be set to lose yet another highly-rated youngster with Manchester City set to swoop for Eric Garcia, according to Sport.
The 16-year-old has informed the club he will not sign a renewal and will instead move to City on a three-year deal worth €1 million.
