Barcelona have confirmed that highly-rated young midfielder Carles Aleñá will remain with the club after signing a new three-year deal.
There had been speculation the 19-year-old could be tempted away with rumours of interest from Tottenham this week, but that can now be safely put to bed.
Alena has put pen to paper on a new deal, which also has the option of two further years, with a release clause of €75 million.
The news makes it a good week for Alena, who was part of the Barcelona B side that achieved promotion to the Segunda Division on Sunday.
His perfomances have also seen him called up to the senior side, with Alena featuring in the Copa del Rey victory over Hercules, where he scored a stunning goal.
Alena will now be hoping for further first-team chances next season under Ernesto Valverde, with the club's midfield options under huge scrutiny, amid talk of moves for Marco Verratti and Paulinho.
He also took to Twitter after the announcement was made, writing: "Very happy! I've always wanted to stay here. Working to achieve my dream! Many thanks to all! FORCA BARCA!"

The midfielder's renewal is also a boost for the club, who have see their youngsters targeted by other clubs this summer.
Jordi Mboula has already signed for Monaco while Eric Garcia is being linked with a move to Manchester City and Bayern Munich are reportedly set to sign Mateu Morey.
Alena, however, is staying and hopefully has a bright future ahead of him at Camp Nou.
