Jean Seri is definitely a man in demand and while Nice are clear they want to keep hold of him, they admit other clubs have been sniffing around.
Barcelona are one of a long list of teams linked with the midfielder but Nice chief Jean-Pierre Rivere says there has been no bid from the Blaugrana yet.
"We know that he is speaking with other teams - his agent has been transparent enough about that," he told Radio Montecarlo.
"But they have not declared their interest to us.
"We have one wish and that is to keep Jean Michael. We don't want to sell and we don't need to sell, but some players will come and others go."
One clubs who have made an offer however, are Roma although Rivere also conceded they will need to up their bid if they are to land their man.
"Seri? The press are saying a lot of things," he added. "As far as we are concerned, aside from Roma who firmed up their interest but were told that their offer was not big enough, there have been no offers from other clubs."
Seri has already admitted it would be difficult to say no to Barcelona although we have no idea if the club are one of those speaking to him at the moment.
Certainly a midfielder is needed, Marco Verratti seems the most popular choice but prising him away from PSG could be more difficult, and expensive, than landing Seri.
