Juventus have already had the better of Barcelona this season, knocking the Blaugrana out of the Champions League with a 3-0 quarter-final win.
Yet the Italian giants may be about to pour more misery on the Blaugrana with a move for Marco Verratti who has been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou.
It’s no secret Barca really need to strengthen their midfield this season and in many ways Verratti looks the perfect signing.
However, the player’s agent Donato Di Campli has now had his say once again and while he claims a departure from PSG is possible he’s already talked up a move to Juve.
"Juventus will certainly do something special in the next transfer window," he told Tuttosport. "Verratti? There’s the will of PSG to keep him at all costs.
"Now it’s clear: money isn’t enough. Appeal is also needed, and in the last four or five years, the French club haven’t done enough to improve in that regard.
"Juventus are much more attractive because champions are attracted to winning teams."
Di Campli then went further to speculate that Juve would again splash the cash following on from last summer when Gonzalo Higuain was signed for mega-bucks.
"It will be a much more fun market than the previous year, there is Chinese capital in Milan and Juventus always do important things," he added.
He was then asked if Juve president Giuseppe Marotta would be willing to sanction another huge move and replied: "Surely he will sign some jewel."
Verratti’s agent never seems to be short of a word or two on the midfielder’s future and last summer saw rumours flying about all over the place before he eventually signed a new long-term deal.
The summer could be different, PSG were beaten to the Ligue 1 title and the Champions League looks as far away as ever.
Prising Verratti away from PSG will be no easy task but Barca need to make sure they are in the running for a player who has the talent to make a huge impact at Camp Nou.
