Barca reject Man City’s Roberto bid

First up today is none other than Sergi Roberto, who has been the subject of a €35 million bid by big-spending Manchester City, according to Mundo Deportivo.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side received short shrift from Barca, who told City in no uncertain terms that Roberto is not for sale and is a key part of Ernesto Valverde’s plans for next season.

Barca to finally bid for Bellerin

After weeks, months, possibly years of speculation, Barcelona will finally make a bid for Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin, claim Sport.

The Blaugrana will start off with a €30m bid, plus variables, and although they expect it to be rejected, it is seen as the first step towards landing the Spain Under-21 international.

Real Madrid have secret meeting with Verratti

Florentino Perez has held a top secret (well not that secret clearly) meeting with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, according to the ever unreliable Don Balon.

The two clubs enjoy a close relationship, and one of the topics of conversation was, yes you’ve guessed it Marco Verratti, and the answer was the same – he is not for sale.

In fact the report claims that all the speculation will end, not with Verratti heading to Barca, but with the Italian being awarded a new and improved contract by the French side.

Ceballos tells Betis he is leaving

Dani Ceballos continues to hog plenty of column inches and Sport claim he has already told Real Betis he will be off this summer.

The midfielder broke the news at a meeting with the club on Tuesday and now must simply decide between Real Madrid or Barcelona.
