Marc Cucurella has given Barcelona some good news by becoming the latest youngster to pen a new deal at Camp Nou.

The club have confirmed the 18-year-old will sign a new two-year deal with the option of another additional two years.

Barca have also inserted a release clause into the left-back's deal of €12 million that rises to €30m after two years.

Cucurella had reportedly attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City this summer, but the club have now moved to secure his future.

He also follows in the footsteps of Carles Alena who also renewed his contract recently, and will be a further boost to the club.

Cucurella made 17 appearances for Barcelona B next season and will continue to play a key role for Gerard Lopez's side next season following their promotion to Segunda A.
