Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Ousmane Dembele will remain suspended until further notice, as speculation over his future continues.

The France international was initially sanctioned after missing training last week, amid rumors he was closing in on a move to Barcelona.

Dortmund have confirmed they have already rejected a bid from the Blaugrana and subequently met with the player to discuss his future yesterday.

A statement on the club’s official website has confirmed he remains suspended “until further notice” and will take no part in the club’s game this weekend.

"Our focus now is on a concentrated preparation of the team for the Bundesliga opening match in Wolfsburg this coming weekend," said Michael Zorc.

"Ousmane Dembélé, of course, has the opportunity to do individual training off the track."
