Neymar is still a Barcelona player, at least until next week. According to L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain are planning to unveil the Brazilian as their new player next Monday, so Neymar will join training with the Blaugrana until Sunday.
Ernesto Valverde will be working with the entire squad starting on Wednesday, in preparation for the Joan Gamper Trophy against Chapecoense next Monday and the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid on August 13th. During this week, Neymar will finalize his move away from Barça, taking care of small details and saying goodbye to his teammates before officially moving to Paris.
As we reported earlier this week, PSG have agreed to pay Neymar’s €222 million release clause and the deal is completed. Neymar went to China on Sunday and stopped by Dubai on Tuesday for a medical. He’s going to France this weekend to sign the contract, and the announcement should happen on Monday.
