AC Milan general manager Marco Fassone has made it quite clear that there has not been any contact with Barcelona over midfielder Rafinha Alcântara.

"We're being linked with some really good players, but there's not been any contact with Barcelona for him.

"With the arrival of [Nikola] Kalinic, we're pretty much complete. Now we're just looking to sell one or two players and if somebody were to leave then we would take a look around.

"We've got quite a rich number of midfielders so let's see if anybody goes and in that case, we could evaluate."

It’s only been two days since Rafinha was reportedly already in agreement with Milan on a deal.

There is a scenario where both reports are true. Rafinha very well could have talked with Milan and agreed to come on board, and yet Milan may not have started discussions with Barcelona as of yet.

Either way, Fassone made it quite clear that Milan were a complete squad, not looking to buy anyone else this summer.

We’ll just have to see if Fassone is indeed done with Milan’s wild summer, or if Rafinha is in their future plans.
