Apparently the new coach felt that the priority in the final days of the window was a replacement for Neymar and having already signed Paulinho, believed the squad already had enough midfielders.

Of course Dybala only signed a new contract in April and was recently handed the iconic No.10 shirt , but let’s not let any of that get in the way of a good rumour shall we?

Bellerin wanted Barcelona move

The window may be closed but of course the rumors of what might have happened keep popping up.

According to the BBC’s David Ornstein, Hector Bellerin did want to move to Barcelona this summer and even told manager Arsene Wenger after he had returned from the Under 21 European Championship.

However, as we all know it didn’t work out for Bellerin, with Barca moving for Nelson Semedo instead.

Messi blocked Ozil move

And finally, it’s always worth taking a look at good old Don Balon who report that Barcelona decided not to make deadline day move for Mesut Ozil because of Lionel Messi.

Apparently, Messi did not think the Arsenal star would be a good investment and told the club to steer well clear, although he was disappointed at missing out on Coutinho and Angel Di Maria.
