Barcelona have issued an official statement in response to huge speculation that Antoine Griezmann is set to move to Camp Nou in the summer.

Saturday’s Sport reports the club have already agreed a deal with the Frenchman and have a secret pact with the forward.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo bring news that Barcelona have reserved the No.7 shirt for Griezman, as has also been reported elsewhere.

The reports do not appear to have gone down well at Barcelona with the club issuing the following statement.

“FC Barcelona strongly denies the information that has appeared over the course of the last few hours regarding Atletico Madrid player Antoine Griezmann and an alleged deal with our club.

“FC Barcelona expresses its objections in the face of these events and reiterates its full respect for the institution of Atlético Madrid.”

Barcelona have already seemingly upset Atletico over links with Griezmann as the club are understood to have reported the Blaugrana for an illegal approach back in December.
