There’s some pretty interesting rumours flying about today and the most intriguing one is from Mundo Deportivo who report that Barcelona are pretty keen on Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong,

The club are currently considering options and are even contemplating a deal which would see De Jong stay at Ajax for another season before heading to the Camp Nou as a replacement for either Sergio Busquets or Ivan Rakitic.

De Jong is contracted to Ajax until 2022 after renewing last season but Barca have been impressed after watching him and may make a move.

But that’s not all, because Mundo Deportivo are also reporting that Barcelona are reportedly still interested in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The club apparently wanted him last summer, as part of the Neymar deal, but PSG did not want to lose the 22-year-old.

However, Rabiot’s current PSG deal expires in 2019 and he has yet to renew. Barca are therefore monitoring the situation, particularly with Busquets turning 30 this year and Rakitic 31.
