The Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona saga has received it’s latest update with Sport reporting the Frenchman will have to take a pay cut to secure a move to the Camp Nou.

Apparently Griezmann will have to accept a lower salary so as not to break Barca’s wage limit and he’s already indicated he’s willing to do so.

The club also want to pay for Griezmann in instalments and in order to sweeten the deal may offer to pay slightly more than his €100 million release clause.

Barcelona are apparently set to meet with Atletico Madrid soon to try and sort out the deal as they are mindful he wants his future sorted before the World Cup, as he’s already admitted.

However, the report also states that Barcelona want the deal to appear in next season’s accounts so it may well not be completed until after July 1st.
