Gremio confirm Barcelona’s Arthur deal is still on and close to completion

Gremio president Romildo Bolzan has confirmed that a deal to take Arthur to Barcelona is still on and moving close to completion.

Reports this week had suggested that negotiations between the two parties had collapsed, but Bolzan says this is not the case.

“The topic is on its way to being finished,” he said. “The documents are not signed yet, but the transfer is reaching the final phase.

”100 per cent agreement is not there yet but the situation is very positive.

“As happens in theses cases, there could be some late alterations. The operation will be for around the numbers that have been published in recent days.”

The report also adds that Barcelona are hoping to sign Arthur for a fee in the region of €40 million.
