It’s been a little while since anyone has been described as ‘the new Neymar’ but that honour now goes to Santos teenager Rodrygo Goes.
That’s not all, Barcelona have reportedly decided they quite like the look of the Brazilian and have got in touch with the player and his club with regards a move, so say Sport.

The report is pretty excited about the whole thing actually, it reckons Rodrygo has plenty of similarities with Neymar and that the club are in pole position to sign him.
The 17-year-old is believed to have a release clause of €50 million but is wanted by pretty much every top club in the world, although Barca are certain to wants to come to the Camp Nou.
Here’s a bit of background about Rodrygo from Andre Noruega:
Rodrygo has since his debut late last year been fantastic, breaking records all over the place (+fastest player in Santos history to reach 5 goals since Pelé, ahead of Neymar), on the field hes so fearless, as if hes been a pro forever, dribbling skills, pace, very good shot

This fits well with his fearless and mature persona, since game 1 hes been on the pitch as I said as if hes been a pro forever. Im very excited to see how his season will develop, he should stay in Brazil for some years still to avoid another Gabi situation.

All of which sounds pretty interesting stuff and it’ll be no surprise to hear plenty more on this rumor in the weeks and months to come, particularly if Rodrygo continues to shine at Santos.
