Speculation over Thiago’s future is gaining pace, and the latest report reckons Barcelona and Real Madrid will fight it out for his signature.

According to Sport, Bayern Munich are willing to sell the midfielder who is quickly emerging as one of Barcelona’s top targets.

Eric Abidal, Ramon Planes and Ernesto Valverde are all in agreement that he is the right man to improve Barcelona’s midfield.

Bayern Munich are willing to sell and want €70 million, although they are willing to negotiate and that price may come down if a player is offered as part of the deal. Lucas Digne is mentioned as a possible option.

Real Madrid are also said to be keen as coach Julen Lopetegu is a big fan and wants him to replace Mateo Kovacic who has openly admitted he wants to leave.

However, Thiago preferred’s option is to return to the Camp Nou which seems to put Barcelona in pole position.
