Barcelona have been connected with a few different midfielders this summer. Two of the hotter names have been Frenkie de Jong and Adrien Raboit. A report from Diario AS discusses and confirms one of the long thought restrictions that Barcelona would place on themselves and their midfield situation this transfer window.

According to the report, Barcelona will only pursue one of the two players given the budget that they have set for midfield transfers. Both players will reportedly cost in the range of €40-45m, and that is what Barcelona management has put in place for the deal to go through.

Both players are quite young, Rabiot 23 and De Jong 21, and would be expected to sit in the Barcelona midfield for years to come. Whichever player it is, Barcelona really need to ink a deal with a solid midfielder this offseason to bolster the midfield.
