A move would be ‘difficult’

Valencia boss Marcelino has been talking about his club’s summer transfer plans and did not seem too confident when asked about a move for Andre Gomes.

The midfielder is surplus to requirements at Barcelona but finding a new club for the 24-year-old is proving to be tough.

Valencia have been linked with bringing Gomes back to the Mestalla, but Marcelino reckons a deal would be complicated.

“André Gomes is at Barça, I think he is declared transferable.” he said.

“We will see what happens in the market. If we have any chance, I think it will be complicated. I find it difficult at this time.”

Gomes has also been rumored to be interesting Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham as well as Napoli, Lazio and Sevilla. The problem seems to be the price with Barcelona reportedly wanting at least €20m which is putting teams off.
