Everton manager Marco Silva has confirmed his team are interested in signing Lucas Digne from Barcelona this summer.

Speculation has claimed that the Toffees had made a £22 million bid for the left-back which has been accepted by Barcelona.

Silva was asked about his club’s interest in Digne and Watford’s Richarlison by Portuguese TV channel Sport TV and said he was hopeful of doing a deal.

“There are two possibilities, I will not hide,” he said. “These are strong hypotheses.

“Richarlison is an excellent player and Digne is not by chance where [Barcelona] he is.

“Hopefully, it’s not easy.”

It sounds as though Digne could be on his way this summer and follow Gerard Deulofeu in heading to the Premier League.
