Yerry Mina has taken to social media to send a message to Barcelona fans after signing a five-year deal with Everton.

The Colombia has joined the Toffees in a €30.25m deal, although Barcelona have inserted a buy-back option in his contract.

“It’s time to say goodbye. It has only been eight months here, but a club like Barça, one of the biggest in the world, and Barcelona, a wonderful city, will mark you forever. Beyond having played little, here I have been able to continue learning surrounded by the best. I leave behind a fantastic human group, who welcomed me with open arms from the first day and helped me adapt. Comrades, technical staff, president, board of directors, technical secretariat, club employees ... everyone was always watching me. I was able to fulfill the dream of dressing as a Barça player at the Camp Nou and feeling the affection of the fans, both on and off the pitch. Now I have to take a new path and who knows if we will meet again one day.

“I will tell my family and other colleagues that: Força Barça thanks for everything God Bless us.”

Everton kick off their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they take on newly-promoted Wolves, but it remains to be seen if Mina will be involved as he only returned to training earlier this week after the World Cup.
