Barcelona’s transfer of centre-back Yerry Mina to Everton was completed this week for €30m. The deal was good for Everton who’re looking to secure their defense ahead of a tough Premier League season and good for Barcelona in that it allows for Mina to grow into his potential while actually playing on the pitch in an environment that’s not as pressure packed as Barcelona.
The deal also allows for Barcelona to buy back Mina should they wish for €60m, according to Sport.
That number seems to be purely based on the reasoning that Barcelona would only wish to buy Mina back should he develop quickly into a world class defender.
A fresh start will be good for Mina. A chance to begin again and prove himself in one of the world’s biggest leagues.
