It’s been a busy summer for Barcelona in the transfer window with plenty of new arrivals and lots of outgoings. There may be a couple more before the window closes at 11.59 p.m. CET on Friday, August 31st.
In have come Arthur, Clement Lenglet, Malcom and Arturo Vidal. Out have gone Gerard Deulofeu, Andre Gomes, Lucas Digne, Paulinho, Yerry Mina, Marlon Santos and Aleix Vidal.
Yet there are a couple more players who may also leave this week. Top of the list is Rafinha who is believed to be a target for both Real Betis and Benfica.
Betis coach Quique Setien has already talked up a move for the Brazilian.
“Obviously Rafinha is a great player who could give us a lot,” he said.
“He understands perfectly our style of play and what we do. He is a player of a top level, with an extraordinary quality that would add a lot to us.”

Speculation has also claimed interest from Portuguese side Benfica. However, a big problem appears to be the fee. Barcelona are said to want at least €25 million which looks a stretch for either club. Rafinha may depart but it could be another loan rather than a permanent deal.
Paco Alcacer is another player who could be on his way before the end of the week. The striker did a decent job whenever he was called on last season, but it’s looking increasingly like he’s not part of Ernesto Valverde’s plans.
There’s been plenty of gossip about a move to Borussia Dortmund. Marca have reported the German side will take him on loan, with an option to sign him permanently for €20-25m.
Will anyone else go? There have been rumours about other players but they seem to have dwindled over the last few weeks. Jasper Cillessen appears set to stay as back-up to Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Sergi Samper’s injury problems may have scuppered another loan and the latest talk has been of a new contract, rather than a move, for Munir.
As for incomings Gerard Romero continues to talk up one more signing, although it’s unclear who that might be or if Barca have time to complete a deal.
Frenkie De Jong has continued to reiterate he’s staying at Ajax, Adrien Rabiot’s future at PSG is unclear and if Barcelona really do want Paul Pogba they may have to wait until next year.
