Barcelona spent a large part of last summer being linked with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

While a move failed to happen, Rabiot has also so far not extended his deal with the Ligue 1 side. All of which means he could be available as a free agent next summer.

According to ESPN, Liverpool are pretty keen on the 23-year-old, and manager Jurgen Klopp has already been on the phone with Rabiot to discuss a move.

The report also notes an interview Rabiot did with RMC last year. He said he’d love to play in the Premier League and was “very fond of Liverpool” when he was growing up.

Liverpool are a pretty attractive proposition at the moment. They are playing some attractive football under Klopp and reached the final of the Champions League last season.

They will hope to rival Manchester City for the Premier League title in this campaign and have got off to the perfect start with four wins out of four.

It remains to be seen if Barcelona are still interested in Rabiot, but if the speculation is correct he may have his pick of top clubs next summer.
