Thursday was a big day for Frenkie De Jong as the Ajax midfielder made his international debut for Netherlands in a friendly against Peru.

The 21-year-old replaced Georginio Wijnaldum at half-time. Fifteen minutes later he was setting up Memphis Depay for Holland’s equaliser.

De Jong won the ball high up the pitch, picked up a return pass and then slipped in Depay to score.

Depay went on to score the winner to make it a memorable debut for De Jong. He also posted a pretty impressive stat.

Barcelona continue to be linked with a move for De Jong but increasingly so are other teams.

Mundo Deportivo reported on Thursday that Tottenham, PSG, Manchester City, Roma and Borussia Dortmund are all keen.
