Cristhian Stuani has been badgered by reporters following news that Barcelona are said to be interested in bringing him to the Camp Nou in January.

The 32-year-old was asked about the speculation linking him with the Spanish champions as he prepares for Tuesday’s Copa del Rey game against Atletico Madrid.

Unsurprisingly he didn’t have much to say on the topic, saying only “I can’t say anything,” when asked about the rumours, according to Marca.

Manager Eusebio Sacristán was also asked about Stuani in his pre-match press conference on Monday. The Girona boss said he was working with the view that none of his players would be leaving and was “calm” amid the transfer speculation, according to La Vanguardia.

Meanwhile, Catalan journalist Gerard Romero offered his view and reckons Stuani is not a target for Barcelona, his €15m price is apparently the problem.

Expect Barcelona to be linked with a fresh batch of No.9s imminently.
